To break the journey to Ripon I have booked three nights at Conkers CCC site at Overseal. The site is located about 4 miles from Junction 11 of the M42. It is in the heart of the National Forest and offers walking and cycling routes exploring hidden corners of this huge woodland area. It will also be a good place to rest and recuperate after a long drive.

The Rawden Arms pub is a 10-15 minute walk. There is a bus stop approximately one mile from the site. Buses run from Overseal to Ashby-de-la-Zouch and Buxton on Trent.
