The 2017 AGM weekend will be held at Cheddar Bridge Touring Park, Draycott Road, Cheddar, Somerset BS27 3RJ. We will be camping from Thursday 30th March to Monday 3rd April. The price will be £15 per night for couples and £12 per night for singles including electric hook-up. This includes temporary membership of the football club next door, which has a bar which we can use every day. We will also be using a hall there for a technical Forum on Friday evening and the AGM.
The Cheddar Bridge campsite is now fully booked. It will be possible to book into the Caravan Club site next door.
There are other campsites nearby.
The AGM will be held at 6pm on Saturday 1st April in the football club hall. There will then be a short break, followed by a shared supper.
If you haven’t been to a Murvi shared supper before, the format is very simple; everyone brings a dish to share and this can be anything you fancy. We also bring along our own plates, dishes & cutlery. This year we will have to buy alcoholic drinks from the bar at the club, but apparently they are much cheaper than in pubs!

The last time we were in Cheddar we had an excellent evening meal on the Sunday in the Bath Arms, which is a short walk away. I will be sending out an email nearer the time with the details of this.

Notice of Annual General Meeting
The Seventh Annual General Meeting of the Murvi Club will be held at 18.00 hrs. on Saturday 01 April 2017 at The Cheddar FC Sports and Social Club, Bowdens Park, Draycott Road, Cheddar, Somerset, BS27 3RL. There will be a shared supper following the meeting with those present contributing the food; drinks will need to be purchased from the Club’s bar. The venue is adjacent to Cheddar Bridge Touring Park where we will be staying for the weekend. Booking details for the campsite are on the Murvi Club website.
At the meeting, the Executive Committee for the forthcoming year will be elected. The current members have all indicated that they intend to stand for re-election. If you also wish to stand for election to the Executive Committee, please inform me on or before 16 March 2017.
If there are any motions for debate at the meeting you wish to submit, please send them to me on or before 16 March 2017.
I shall circulate the agenda at least one week prior to the meeting. Members need to have paid their annual subscription for 2017 of £5 by 25 March 2017 to qualify for a vote at the meeting.
Following the popularity of last year’s event, a Murvi Van Technical Workshop will be held at 20.00 hrs on Friday 31 March 2017 in the Sports Club. Please let me know any item you would like included on the agenda.
