At Swanage and Wareham Rugby Club,
Bestwall Road, Wareham
Wareham is an attractive river town with a lovely quay area, several pubs, fish and chip shops, Sainsburys and Co-op. Boat trips from the quay, medieval walls to walk around.
The rugby club is 12 - 15 minutes walk from the town and is quiet. There are buses every hour to Swanage and Poole. From Swanage you can go to Bournemouth by bus also.
It's an easy drive to the coast. Parking at Swanage is limited but for National Trust members parking is free at the Studland NT car parks, all close to the sea. If the weather's good set off by 10am at the latest on the weekend. Parking at Worth Matravers is inexpensive and gives access to the coast path for a walk perhaps to St Adhelms Head. Getting off the Swanage bus at Langton Matravers gives access to the coast path and Dancing Ledge. Other walks are available!
There are cycle paths in the area plus quiet roads.
