The Site - Exmoor House Caravan Club Site is a pretty, peaceful destination which offers superb views up the valley and with some pitches overlooking the River Barle. The site is within easy walking distance of Dulverton, with its shops, pubs and restaurants.
Dulverton is known as the Southern gateway to Exmoor. The town stands between the rivers Barle and Exe which converge a mile or so down the valley.
Supermarkets - The closest are Morrisons and Tesco in Tiverton, about 15 miles from the site. There is a local Co-op and a deli in Dulverton.
Public Transport - There is a bus service 300 yards from the site, to Minehead, Tiverton and Taunton.
The site makes a good base to explore Exmoor. Conveniently, the National Park's Information Centre is a short stroll from the site. There are many walks from the town - the riverside walks both ways along the Barle being very popular.
The site is behind Exmoor House, the National Park HQ and is best approached from the South. It is best to avoid the centre of Dulverton as the roads are narrow with sharp bends.
Arrival Time - The 1 p.m. arrival time is a rule made by Exmoor National Park Authority to restrict caravan movements within the National Park itself. It is apparently a condition of the lease that the wardens enforce this, so please do not arrive before 1 p.m. For those of you who will use the M5 (southbound), it takes about 40 minutes from Taunton Deane services to reach Dulverton.
