For those of you wanting to extend, or break your journey to Roger’s end of season meet in Berwick-upon-Tweed, I have organised a pre-meet at Rutland Caravan and Camping Park, Greetham, Oakham, Rutland, LE15 7FN. (01572 813520)

The Site - a family run caravan and camping park (opened May 2002) situated in the heart of the county of Rutland. Our meet will be on the site's rally field. The location offers an opportunity to explore England's smallest county, renowned for its picturesque villages and towns. Rutland Water is nearby.
The park is adjacent to the village of Greetham, through which the Viking Way runs, along with other footpath networks. There is a gravel path from the park to the village (about five minutes’ level walk). The village is served by a regular bus to Oakham (a lovely town with a good range of generally smaller shops), and also a service to Melton Mowbray. From both towns there are bus services to take you further afield.
The site’s aim is ‘to provide you with a relaxing atmosphere where you can escape the hustle and bustle of today's World, and take in the beautiful surroundings.’
For those of you who are keen swimmers a new indoor swimming pool is now open (heated to 31 degrees). This can be hired privately for £15 for 30 minutes for up to 10 people.
There is also an indoor games room with board games and a football table, which is open from 9am to 9pm. There is also a dog shower.
Cost - £17.40 per van per night with hook-up, or £13 without electricity. The cost includes up to two dogs per van.

Rutland lives up to its motto "Multim in arvo" (much in little) with Rutland Water with its sailing, cycling, fishing, rock climbing, butterfly and aquatic centre, nature reserve and walking.
Tiny Rutland is just 20 miles across. It may be the smallest county in England but it is packed with a host of things for you to do during your stay. It has two bustling market towns, Oakham and Uppingham, and more than forty picturesque villages of thatched, stone-built cottages.
