November 2016 Meet

At Ord House Country Park

Roger Pepper has now made the arrangements for the rally to Northumberland on the weekend of Thursday 10 to Monday 14 November 2016.

We will be staying at Ord House Country Park, East Ord, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland, TD15 2NS  http://www.maguirescountryparks.co.uk/ord-house-country-park/. The site is on the outskirts of Berwick as shown by a yellow circle on the attached OS map. It has a heated services block, hardstandings and electric connections. I have made a booking for 35 vans. The rate will be £19 per night including electricity. Dogs will be £1 per night. 

If you intend to come please email me by replying to this before the end of August indicating which of the nights you will be staying. The club will make a single payment for the camping fees to Ord House and I would be obliged if you could pay us when you book.

Ord House gives easy driving access to all the Northumberland and South Eastern Scottish coastal areas as well as the River Tweed. Regular bus services run from the site to the centre of Berwick and then onwards along the coast.

I will be organising a couple of walks each of about 8-10 miles – details to follow.

Ord House has a bar which will be open throughout our stay. There will be a slideshow on the Friday evening to give people the opportunity of showing their 10 best photos from the year’s travels.

I have arranged a three course dinner for us in the site’s restaurant on the Saturday at a cost of £16 per person payable on the night. The menu is as follows, please let me have your choices when you book.

Julia Wright will be organising a pre meet to give those driving from the south somewhere to stay on route.
